Maternity clothes for fashion and comfort

If you're expecting, then it's the perfect moment to add some cute maternity wear to your wardrobe! Pregnancy is a magical time, but it can also be very uncomfortable. If you're suffering from swollen wrists and ankles, a bad back, and morning sickness, then you'll want to find little pleasures where you can. That's where a stylish maternity wardrobe comes in. Make sure you're still looking your best, and you'll enjoy instant confidence. Look for maternity clothes that will keep you comfortable. For example, maternity jeans usually come with a thick ribbed waistband which will stretch to accommodate your bump. Your legs will still look perfectly stylish, but you'll feel fabulous, too.

Getting dressed up while you are pregnant

For a special occasion, nothing beats a maternity dress. The classic style to go for during pregnancy is an empire line. Here, the waistline should sit just under your bust, so the fabric curtains over your bump in a flattering way. For a dress that looks especially good on a pregnant body, pick up an empire line with a wrap over neckline. This will show off a bit of cleavage, which can help you still feel feminine while you're expecting. Think carefully about your shoes, too. Your favourite boots won't fit as they used to if your ankles are swollen, so stick to a low-cut style. Comfy trainers or, in summer, flat sandals, are a great idea. Just make sure that whatever style you choose offers plenty of support.

Casual clothes for a mother to be

To keep your maternity wardrobe simple, pick up a pair of jeans and a few tops. You'll generally want to try loose, floaty tops to flatter your bump. This means you might want to stick to fitted jeans; this ensures that your figure will be nicely balanced, with the volume on top and a more fitted silhouette below. Don't feel you have to go shapeless, though. Floaty tops should not look like tents! For jackets, look for something that will fasten over the top of your bump. A long, belted cardigan is a convenient option. Since it doesn't have buttons or a zip to worry about, it can be worn throughout your pregnancy. Generally, stretchy clothes made from jersey are a practical choice; you'll be able to keep them as your bump gets bigger, and they'll continue to look good.
