Here’s what you will need

Grab a measuring tape, a pen, and a piece of paper. After each measurement write them down and compare them to the size chart of the brand you are interested in to find your accurate size. Let’s go!

For the blazer

For the shoulder measurement, wear a shirt that fits you well for an accurate result. Place the tape where the shoulder and arm seam meet and measure across the back to the other shoulder and arm seam.

For the sleeve measurement, keep your arms down at your sides and shoulders relaxed, and hold the measuring tape at the edge of the shoulder and arm seam. Measure straight down to the middle of the wrist.

For the chest measurement, stand with the arms by your side while standing relaxed, and measure around the widest part of your chest.

For the overarm measurement, wrap the tape measure over and around the shoulder blades, around the same spot as the chest underarm measurement.

For the pants

For the waist measurement, follow the measuring tape around the top of the pants around the body, just above your hips.

For the hips measurement, measure the widest part of your hips, across the middle of your rear.

For the outseam measurement, put on some pants that fit you well and measure from the top of the waistband on the outer leg, down the leg to about 3.8 cm above the ground, or where your pants usually hit your shoes.

For the inseam measurement, measure the inside seam of your pant leg, from the highest point to the top of your shoes.
